When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?
Initially as a youngster I wanted to be a pilot but then I found out diabetics couldn’t fly in the RAF, I just wanted to fly.
How would you describe your music?
Mixed and at times misguided. Not with good or bad intentions but with intentions.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
I have just finished a first draft of my next film ABandOnHope and hope to get things moving on that as soon as fucking possible. Im on tour in the U.K with a band local to me called Mad Dog Mcrea though November – they are a cool band man. Some promo stuff to do in Australia in July and some gigs there in December. Got some songs to record – I am not as frivolous now as I was when recording ideas, I write em on guitar now and fuck with them like that until they’re solid so have a bit of catching up to do. Most of the songs for the next album are done – just need some fixes and re mixes so got to sort that, work on the film and so worth – do some acting improvisations with some of the actors on the next film so I can finalise the script.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
I can’t read music but if it were to be an improvised duet then it would most certainly be with Chicago Transit Authority… Many years ago.
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Come On Up To The House by Tom Waits because for some reason it tells me everything I need to know.
