When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

Arguably I began making music when I wrote my first song about a sparrow when I was 7 and started playing violin…however, music that people most likely want to? I started playing guitar at 15 and played lead guitar in a few different bands before I plucked up enough courage to write my own songs. I did my first gig as a songwriter about 7 years ago and i haven’t stopped. Since I started playing guitar I knew I wanted to be involved in a career in music. I’m an artist and graphic designer as well and that pays a bit towards the rent but I do that alongside my music.

How would you describe your music?

Acoustic, alternative, blues, folk. Passionate, raw and poetic.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

I released my debut acoustic album in 2010. I got great feedback and it helped me get airplay on some great blues/folk shows and I got the opportunity to do some great smaller festivals too. I got really back into my songwriting last year and have just released my EP Chasing Tales in Sept. 2013. I’m currently promoting the EP, doing lots of playing on radio shows. I have some gigs booked in and will be sorting more out over the coming months.

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Ani Difranco. She was a real inspiration in being individual and getting more into the business side of music. I also love her music and guitar playing.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Today… It’s Grace by Jeff Buckley. Fantastic variation of songs. Its sensitive and also rocky. I find it inspiring and calming.
