When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?
I began making music properly when I started secondary school, but my mum tells me that when I was a toddler I used to sing instead of speak, make up little songs about everyday objects and things we were doing. I’ve always been a bit random lol.
How would you describe your music?
My music is a mixture of all different influences and I like to try and convey feelings and emotions in the way I write and perform. It’s kinda alternative pop with a wee sprinkle of soul for good measure.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
I’ve mostly been writing and recording this year so far, and an so happy the EP Tiny Teardrops is coming out, it’s been worth the lack of sleep! In the summer I’m going to be gigging and trying to get my name out there for the right reasons. I will also be working in North America over the next few weeks on some writing projects over there so I am excited about that too!
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
Oohhhhh, just one choice? That’s a bit of a toughie. Probably my gran, she was an amazing singer and one of my biggest inspirations. I’d choose one more song with her over a duet with any of my favourite artists.
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Wow! Can I not just take the whole iPod? I guess that’s cheating. Hmmm…. Probably The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. That is defo in my top 3, I would need a few days to decide on this one though, too hard to choose!!
