When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?
I first started playing guitar when I was twelve, and have been creating music ever since, though I only started seriously writing and producing my own material a few years ago. I’ve been drawn to various creative fields like artwork and writing but have always wanted to be involved in music in some form.
How would you describe your music?
I haven’t figured out a set answer for this yet, but I guess you could describe it as experimental and introspective pop music with a strong focus on vocals and unexpected chord changes.
What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?
I’ve played a few shows and will hopefully be playing more in the coming months. I’m also in the process of writing and recording new material, and piecing together song sketches and demos. I have a lot of recorded fragments that haven’t fully become songs yet.
If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?
Bradford Cox. I saw him perform as Atlas Sound recently and really respect the saturation of sound he’s able to create live as a solo artist.
What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?
Rubber Soul by the Beatles. It’s the first Beatles album I ever heard and really heightened my appreciation of good songwriting.
