Here’s to all the long vacant stares received when answering the question: “So, what kind of music do you like”. Music has been a major part of Bella’s life as far back as she can remember. From carrying the little-red-vinyl player around the house listening to The Beach Boys, Petula Clark, The Beatles, learning to play the violin from age 8, recording improv radio shows on cassette with her sister, falling in love with playing guitar, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix and listening to Yul Anderson play the piano in Copenhagen city centre. Eventually this would all lead to completing a music degree – despite having never formally studied music before this point – and committing to developing fingerstyle and percussive techniques of playing. She has been independently composing for film, multimedia and dance alongside completing and releasing album number 1 “Paint Your Sound” – an instrumental album about textures, subtlety in sound and using the guitar as an illustrative tool.

In the past she has been an: Events Steward, Usher, Sous Chef, Administrator, Apprentice Tattooist, Freelance/independent composer & photographer and following completion of her degree completed a luthier apprenticeship. She loves music, live music, discovering new music and being privy to the relentless capability and possibilities in its creation and performance.
