Catherine May
Catherine doesn’t have the average music taste of a teenager. Whilst her peers watched the X Factor or went to Green Day concerts, she found herself bribing her friends to come to obscure gigs with her. Fascinated by Australian Singer Songwriters, Catherine tries to see as much live music as possible as she knows all too well that her favourite artists tend not to tour here too often. From February, after a year of sub-editing the Interviews section, Catherine will be taking a small step back from MTTM as she moves to Melbourne to discover more about the Australian music scene.
Sometimes focusing too little on what is deemed to be a ‘normal’ student life, Catherine interns, contributes to her student newspaper and has written for many websites in what is supposedly her free time. She aspires to work in either the Journalism, PR or Social Media sector after a degree in Linguistics. As a serial tweeter, Catherine can be found offering 140 character bursts of wisdom here and she’ll be writing about her time in Melbourne here.
