Lisa Jade Bentley
Lisa’s love affair with music started a very long time ago. The earliest performance she remembers being taken to is a Radio One road show aged approximately 6 and seeing Heavy D and the Boys… rock and roll. From then it developed to gigs, concerts and festivals. She says that music is the only love that has never let her down.
It wasn’t until her mid teens that music really began to influence her (and basically took over her life). She spent the next decade going to as many gigs as possible, travelling Europe for the next fix of music. In one year alone she saw over 120 live performances from bands.
In 2005 she graduated with a degree in English and Cultural History combined with Media and Cultural studies, the majority of her media modules being music based. Since then she has milled around, falling more and more in love with music as she goes along.
Lisa describes her music taste as eclectic but lately the resurgence of the folk genre has been floating her proverbial boat.
Lisa has an irrational fear of submarines; if she was a crayon she would be a green on; she spends her spare time pondering life’s big questions like why aren’t thumbs called ‘big fingers’?
