Rod Stewart Release for Teenage Cancer Trust
Rod Stewart is releasing one of the songs off his most recent album release Merry Christmas, Baby. The single, a cover of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is being released to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. In a statement made regarding its release, Stewart said “I live a blessed and wonderful life and this Christmas it means a lot to me to be able to do something that can help young people with cancer. I really admire the work done by Teenage Cancer Trust.”
Stolen Equipment
Hey Sholay have had their van and equipment stolen from outside their practice room in Rotherham. The equipment was in a transit van – registration number ML05KPP. Inside the van was a lot of the bands personal equipment (full list below). If anyone has any information please contact the Rotherham Police immediately.

Fender 1952 telecaster, gibson sg – heavily customised es335 with ‘rosie’ laquered to it, custom electronics, epiphone lucille with microphone input. 4 Kaoss pads, 4 pedalboards all customised with various boutique pedals. Pearl export drumkit and sabian cymbals. Korg ms2000b synthesizer, cased, three stands, trace elliot bass cab.
Led Zeppelin Honoured
Led Zeppelin have been honoured by POTUS Barack Obama at the Kennedy Honours Centre for their contributions to music.
Rolling Stones set to play Relief Concert
Rolling Stones have revealed that they will be playing in the Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert in New York. The band will join Eric Clapton and The Who – among others – who have already agreed to play the show.

Toni Braxton has been admitted into a hospital in LA. The singer is being treated for a lupus related issue.
Amanda Palmer Cancels 2013 Tour
Amanda Palmer has cancelled all the dates on her 2013 tour to stay by the side of her friend who is currently battling cancer. Palmer has released the following statement – “I take my professional commitments really seriously. even if I’m sick, I play…But I also take my friendships really seriously. this situation calls for no other solution. My best friend is really sick and his future is uncertain. So I am going to stay with him while he goes through this.”
Los Campesinos! Lose Bassist
Ellen Waddell, the bassist with Los Campesinos! has quit the band. She has released a statement announcing her final show. “It is with a sad face I have to report that I am leaving Los Campesinos!” reads the blog. “The show on the 15th of December in London will be my last, and I shall spend it struggling not to cry. Please don’t point out my tears if you come along. Simply pretend it is eye sweat.”
Dave Brubeck: 6th December 1920 – 5th December 2012
Jazz Legend Dave Brubeck has passed away one day before his 92nd birthday. The cause of death is said to be heart failure.
Kaiser Chief Drummer Quits
Nick Hodgson, the drummer with Kaiser Chiefs has announced his departure from the Leeds based band. The band has released this official statement. “We can confirm that Nick has decided not to be in the band anymore and that our show at Reading Festival in August was his last as a member of Kaiser Chiefs.”
