Levon Helm: 26th May 1940 – 19th April 2012
Levon Helm of The Band has sadly lost his battle with cancer. Aside from his contributions to music Helm was also and established actor. Levon was surrounded by close family and friends as he died.
Greg Ham: 27th September 1953 – 19th April 2012
Greg Ham, the flautist with Men at Work has passed away aged 58. The cause of his death is unknown.
Re-release for Sex Pistols
Sex Pistols plan to re-release God Save the Queen as part of the Record Store Day celebrations. The single will be re-released May 28th in limited edition picture disc format. It will mark 35 years since its original release.
Charity Single
Leeds based singer Rupert Stroud releases his single Always today. Be sure to buy it as proceeds from the single will go to Alzheimers Research UK.
