
Union Chapel and acoustic performances go hand in hand. It seems once an artist steps onto the stage everything is toned down a notch and given the venue’s sublime acoustics, there’s very good reason to do so. KT Tunstall is no different and as she traces through her back catalogue of material there’s a sense of delight that many of the less widely aired songs have made it to the set.

‘I’m back, with some great new shizzle’ KT Tunstall proclaims just seconds after arriving on stage before launching headfirst into tracks from her latest album, Tiger Suit. Ever since hearing that KT Tunstall once went to the school nearby mine, I have kept an interest in her work. It isn’t often that talent is spotted in my neck of the woods, although her time spent living in the States probably gave her a much broader opportunity.
