Already making waves at the tender ages of 16 and 17, this quartet including Jacob Wheldon (vocals/guitar), Callum Akass (bass), Tom Herzberg (guitar) and Tom MacColl (drums) have recently found their small-time musical ocean is quickly turning into a tsunami of hype and intrigue.
Casablanca have performed alongside acts such as Foals, Bloc Party and The Maccabees in the past; and are currently being compared to well-established acts such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Cajun Dance Party and Theme Park. The band have just released their debut single Yes on Party Politics on 17th September. Yes is an upbeat symphony of sunny beats, euphoric guitars and up-lifting synths, showing both passion and ability far more mature than is typical for their age group. People will definitely be saying “yes” soon to this band, whose positive music vibes really will light up lives.
Casablanca recently played their first London headline show at The Old Blue Last on the 19th September to coincide with the release of Yes. They have a number of dates scheduled throughout the UK in November.
