How did you meet and what’s the story behind your band name?

Luke: We’ve all known each other on the Bradford circuit for quite a few years, but we’ve been busy doing our own projects. When I came round to starting the band it worked out that we were all free at the time, so here we are! The band name comes from my good friend & guitar hero, Michael Chapman’s ragtime piece ‘Polar Bear Fandango’ with a little twist, named after his old local in Hull.

How would you describe your music?

Rock & Roll for the 21st century.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

Luke: We have been finding our feet, playing our first gigs together, although we’ve played for years in different acts. We recently played Bingley Music Live, which was our biggest gig to date. We hope to get back in the studio before the new year.

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

Jason: John Bonham Drum Jam.

Jonny: Thom Yorke, so he can see if he’s as strange as he looks.

Luke: Brian Wilson, so I could learn some nuggets of musical wisdom.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Jonny: Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers, as its the most perfect album I’ve ever heard.

Jason – Cold Fact by Rodriguez.

Luke – The Flaming Lips’ Soft Bulletin; life affirming stuff.
