When did you begin making music, and did you ever ponder a different career?

I started making music six years ago when I got my first guitar. I didn’t play an instrument and when I got the hang of the guitar the music just came flowing. I didn’t have a direction in life, I was just trying to find myself is something. At first, it did not cross my mind I would be doing music for a living so I worked various jobs but when I realised this was the only thing that I could see myself in, there was no turning back.

How would you describe your music?

This I find to be the hardest question. My music is a mixture of many things, from grunge music to spaghetti westerns of Ennio Morricone and then all the things in between. I have no idea. Someone described it once as ice cold desert rock. I think that has a good ring to it.

What have you been up to so far and what can we expect over the coming months?

I just finished recording my debut album which will be released over the next months – I don’t have a due date on that just yet – but I will release my first single from that album on the 2nd of September! And also we will play Iceland Airwaves in November. Cant wait!

If you could duet with anybody who would it be and why?

I would love to duet with Eddie Vedder. I listened to Pearl Jam a lot when I was a teenager and up and owned all of their albums. Also the song track from the movie ‘Into the Wild’ is really good. Oh – or maybe Leonard Cohen?! His voice is just out of this world.

What’s your desert island disc and why would you take this one album?

Just one?! Maybe I would take Molto Mondo Morricone. A compilation of his various film music. One of the most beautiful tracks I know is on there, Dal Mare.
