2000 Trees 2015 is only a few months away, and if you want to attend you are going to have to act fast; tickets are already flying from websites and it looks set to be a sell-out year for this delightful grass roots festival in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. The festival is fiercely independent and was created by a group of friends in 2007 as the antidote to the corporate sponsorship and extortionate ticket prices of main stream festivals.
The award-winning festival is celebrating its ninth year at Upcote Farm from 9th – 11th July 2015, and sees the event playing host to an eclectic mix of the best new and underground artists across four main stages. This year, the lineup ranges from local heroes Solemn Sun, The Cadbury Sisters and Thrill Collins; to big name headliners The Subways, Deaf Havana and Alkaline Trio. Organiser Andy Rea is absolutely thrilled with the bookings for 2015; “This is the best line-up we’ve ever had and the reaction has been amazing with tickets flying off the shelves – who would have thought we’d see the likes of Alkaline Trio, Deaf Havana and Idlewild in a field near Cheltenham.”
As well as a plethora of fantastic new artists for the audience to watch, 2000 Trees also offers family entertainment and comedy acts at the festival, along with a fun fancy dress competition. This year the fancy dress theme is ‘Literal Representations of Band Names’. Each year Trees limits capacity to 5000 people to maintain a friendly, intimate feel and is proud to be eco-friendly; sourcing their food and drink from the local area and encouraging greener festival transport through lift sharing and shuttle bus services.
For a weekend ticket it is only £72.00 (plus booking fee); which is genuinely good value for what will be a fantastic weekend.
