The Wrong Car is the latest offering from popular Kilsyth band The Twilight Sad, featuring four tracks of what could potentially be their finest material to rival their previous full lengths. Deemed as prog-rock with elements of shoe gaze and indie by their peers, the band have been causing quite a stir over the past few years after releasing Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters and Forget The Night Ahead amongst other extended plays.

The opening track of the new EP, also named The Wrong Car delivers over seven minutes of swirling, progressive guitars accompanied by the familiar Scottish drone of singer, James Graham and his somewhat deep and hard hitting song writing abilities. Throw Yourself In  The Water Again is a prime example of how the band have matured over recent months. Arguably the strongest song of their career, the dark mood catapults the band into unknown territory, which proves successful to their growing sound, surely evidence that the four piece are surely destined for bigger things.

Scottish Prog-rock legends Mogwai feature on the EP, having remixed the classic Twilight Sad song, The Room, polishing it off with a contemporary feel. Future co-headline tour friends, Errors also lend a helping hand, remixing Reflection of the Television which opens previous release Forget The Night Ahead. Fresh from an American tour and support slot for fellow Glaswegian rockers Biffy Clyro under their belt, an Autumn UK tour and their next full length due next year awaits them.
